2.1 Kid on the beach Cromer

Cromer beach, a popular playground with people. With many of them enjoying the end, of what looks to have been a wonderful day. The sky seems to mirror perfectly on the wet sand.

The steps of this beach hut seem to be a desolate witness of the gorgeous seaside days past. The spray on the cloud heads and the storm clouds however cannot cover up the shades that are evidence that the sun is coming though at places.

This desolate, almost apocalyptic scene is the result of the tides at Morston marshes. When the water retreats and invites you to carefully thread the mud flats and riverbed that open up in front of you, you enter a weird place where you find yourself walking around beached boats and at various times presents the most awesome sunsets.

An example of when people bring a picture to life. An image of uninhibited joy in combination with an inspiring backdrop.

When you think ‘just another seaside image’...and then notice the almost perfect mirror of the town in the reflections on the beach.

This village is a true gem on the Norfolk coast. It always shows its best side, whether the water rises into the streets or leaves the boats beached, in quiet desolation or when it's buzzing with daytrippers. This is taken at the time the first eel fishermen go out on the mudflats and the fog has risen sufficiently to give a hazy view of the quayside.

2.7 Sunset under the pier Cromer

Taken from a ‘photographers favourite’ spot. It perfectly shows the contrast between the hard steel of the pier, the ebbing water and the almost lacey effect of the fading sunlight falling on the beach.
