Welcome my world in images. My name is Frank van Berkel. Every day in our life is full of fleeting images of the environment around us. My interest in photography is in capturing interesting moments and framing them in a photograph. 

I seek out opportunities by choosing unusual places, during unusual times and also by looking harder at what seem to be ordinary settings. My surroundings in Norfolk fortunately have a lot to offer. Favourites of mine are  the seaside and the marshes on the North Norfolk coast, particularly at the twilight ends on either side of the day. There have been times that boots were filled with water or when I had to wait for the tide to go out before I could get back to my car but the results of a photo shoot inevitably make such misadventures truly worthwhile. Other times I feel the need to get away from this flat countryside and look up hills and mountains. We are lucky in Britain to be near to places such as the Cotswold, the Lake District and the Scottish Highland, which have perfectly withstood the test of time.
